SUPPORTWIZARD ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FOR THREE WIDELY USED DATABASE AND DIRECTORY TECHNOLOGIES

SupportWizard 5 Now Compatible With LDAP, the Oracle9i Database, and Microsoft® SQL Server 2000 TM

Redwood City, Calif., May 14, 2002 - SupportWizard, the leading provider of technical support automation solutions for small to medium size organizations, today announced its support of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol), as well as the Oracle9i Database and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Now, companies can easily deploy SupportWizard 5, while leveraging their existing database and directory investments. Organizations that have standardized on Oracle and Microsoft products, as well as those that have deployed an LDAP directory, can seamlessly integrate SupportWizard 5 within their IT environment.

LDAP, a protocol for accessing online directory services, is widely deployed by larger organizations. SupportWizard added LDAP support to SupportWizard 5 to adapt to the needs of companies that are already using the protocol. These organizations no longer need to port to new databases or develop custom code to make their user information available to the SupportWizard product. Many Fortune 500 companies have also standardized on Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and the Oracle9i Database. As a result of customer requests, SupportWizard 5 now supports these products.

“We are committed to meeting the needs of our customers, who have requested that we support LDAP as well as the Oracle9i Database and Microsoft SQL Server 2000,” said Colin Earl, CEO, SupportWizard. “Our goal is to make life easier for our customers — now, with our support of these technologies, companies can easily use our product while harnessing their existing IT environments.”

Small to medium size organizations use SupportWizard to provide internal and external technical support for complex products and services. SupportWizard is helping these companies increase the efficiency of their support operations, improve the quality of overall technical support, and lower administration costs.

SupportWizard Enterprise Edition 5 is a sophisticated, pure Web-based support system that automates the processing of new support issues with fully customizable workflows, automatic e-mail response and notification, user-defined escalation rules, customizable Java chart reporting, sophisticated control over access, and a built-in knowledgebase for dynamic FAQs. The product is fully adaptable, allowing complete customization of fields, choices, look-and-feel, and user groups and permissions.
